The calm erupted—peace was none—
But shattered tears did fall
Silence stirred the restless mind yet—
Despite the siren’s wail
Light grew heavy—the edge had come
And whispers pale with judgement
That Final Goodbye—subtle lies
Bear witness—in the pews—
I loved my kindred—Not enough
To hold you to the Earth
This solid ground—and then the stars
Lit melodies just so
From which—I could not find my way
Called out to you—my blood—
Guilty shadows—cast down—
They knew I knew each one
